What is Hgh?

Increasing Hgh Human Growth Hormone may improve cardiac function by reducing body fat and increasing endurance. This can help with regular exercise, and is vital for cardiac and pulmonary function.

Research shows that one of the highest concentrations of Hgh receptors in the body is found in the heart. This may explain how increasing Hgh secretion enhances the functions of the heart.

A major study by Dr. David Clemmons, Chief of endocrinology at the University of North Carolina, found that increasing Hgh Growth Hormone levels in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease significantly raised the maximum force by 10 to 12 mm Hgh and increased their average expiratory force. Higher HGH levels increase patients exercise levels, raising maximum oxygen uptake, and increasing the stroke volume and cardiac output. It also was shown to increase the volume of air that patient could force in a one second interval.

1996 New England Journal of Medicine - Patients treated with HGH who had moderate-to-severe heart failure, increased the thickness of the left ventricular wall, enhanced the ability of the heart to contract and pump out blood, reduced the oxygen requirement of the heart, improved exercise capacity, clinical systems, and the patients quality of life.

David Clemmons, chief of Endocrinology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, believes that HGH is a promising treatment for emphysema and other chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.

Dr. Jorgensen and Dr. Christian of Copenhagen, Denmark, in European Journal of Endocrinology, 1994 "replacement therapy with Hgh Growth Hormone has shown beneficial and normalizing effect on parameters such as cardiac and renal function, thyroid hormone metabolism, bone metabolism, sweat secretion, total and regional fuel metabolism and psychological well being"

Dissolves "Pot Belly's" and Reduces risk of heart attack?

"Most strikingly for health purposes, Research shows that treatment with Hgh preferentially reduces abdominal fat that is associated with increased risk of heart attack. The loss of abdominal fat also has implications for type 2 diabetes, since there is a close association between intra-abdominal obesity and insulin resistance."
Ronald M. Klatz, M.D. 10 Weeks to a Younger You. p. 49

Research shows that Hgh may be of significant value in the treatment of idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (IDC) and CHF. A recent study of seven patients with IDC and moderate to severe CHF evaluated the effects of human growth hormone. The patients were given 14 international units (IU) of growth hormone in conjunction with conventional treatments for 3 months. Use of the hormone was discontinued for an additional 3 months. The results of the research indicated that growth hormone improved cardiac output and clinical symptoms, doubled ventricular mechanical function, and increased exercise capacity. After discontinuation of hgh growth hormone, many of the beneficial effects were partially reversed. A second study had similar results; the researchers concluded that human growth hormone, used in addition to conventional therapies, reduced the workload of the myocardium and deactivated the levels of the neurohormone aldosterone.

Research has shown that Hgh therapy was shown to increase contractile function of the heart, and HGH is purported to have beneficial effects on mechanical efficiency and energy use. Myoflilament calcium sensitivity is decreased in heart failure, resulting in a decrease in contractile force generation for a given calcium concentration. Human growth hormone therapy improved contractile force generation in a postinfarction rat model of heart failure by restoring myofilament sensitivity to calcium….From the results of these animal studies, human growth hormone may improve cardiace hemo-dynamics, return calcium handling to normal, restore myofiliament function, and promote efficient myocyte energy use, all of which antagonize the vicious cycle of declining cardiac function in heart failure.

Abstract - Human Growth Hormone and the heart

"Many pathological processes that accelerate the progression of heart failure, such as cardiac remodeling and impaired contractility, may be modulated by the administration of recombinant growth hormone. The agent improves structural and functional aspects of the failing heart both in the short term and after several months of therapy. However, conflicting clinical results cast doubt on whether it has a clear benefit in all of the studied patients. In addition, human growth hormone therapy may be associated with cardiac and non-cardiac adverse effects. Many questions must be addressed before its place in heart therapy is established. Optimal patient population, dosing regimen, duration of therapy, and effect on patient survival are unknown. Until larger, double blind hgh research studies are completed; human growth hormone therapy remains an investigational approach to managing refractory heart failure.
