hgh to their patients that can't afford hgh prescription injection treatment.
Just as there are some doctors who use and/or support
the use of "over the counter" non-injection hgh products, there
are other doctors- usually those who offer prescription hgh injections for
over $900 a month that say that only prescription injections work.
If doctors told their patients that the research supports the effectiveness
of some "over the counter" Growth Hormone Replacement Therapies;

of giving yourself one or two shots a day.

FDA Investigating Fake Drugs Found in Pharmacies
New York Times, Tuesday June 5, 2001
New York, June 5 (Reuters) - The US Food and Drug Administration is investigating four cases of counterfeit prescription drugs making their way to the pharmacies, The new York Times reported in its online edition on Tuesday.
No one is known to have been seriously injured, although some patients have had adverse reactions, the paper said, but FDA officials say they are worried about the four cases and have made the investigation a high priority.
The recent cases involve three injectable drugs: Serostim, a growth hormone sold by Serano and used by Aids patients, Nutropin, a growth hormone sold by Genetech(NYSE:DNA - news): and Neupogen, a cancer drug sold by Amgen(NasdaqNM:AMGN -news), the paper said.
All three drugs are expensive, which could be why the counterfeiters selected them, the report noted, a 12-week course of Serostim(Hgh injections), for instance costs $21,000.
The counterfeiters may have been able to find an easy market for their drugs since Seostim and Nutropin are sought by people who believe the drugs will help them lose weight, build muscle, and smooth wrinkles, the paper said.
FDA officials and the drug companies have sent letters to pharmacies, doctors and distributors all over the country to warn them about the counterfeit drug, the paper said.
Counterfeit hgh versions of Serostatin have been found in at least seven states, the paper said.
Last month, FDA officials reported three major cases of counterfeit drugs, this time involving Neupogen, Nutropin and a second fake batch of Serostim, the paper said. Genetech, which makes Nutropin, said pharmacies in Florida, California, and Indiana had found fake copies of the drug on their shelves, the paper said.
FDA officials said they cannot discuss many aspects of the recent cases because of the ongoing investigation, the paper said.
